Frequently Asked Questions

I don't move around much, can I see you for other Issues?

Of course! Change is a part of everyone's life! Anxiety, depression, stress, grief and loss, a lost sense of purpose and meaning in life are all areas I have experience in.

What can I expect from the first session?

Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and see if we are a good fit. You can ask any questions you may have, and I'll ask some questions about what has brought you to counselling and get a feel for what direction we may be headed. If you decide to go ahead, we'll fill in some paperwork so we're ready to start!

What are your Fees?

I like to set aside a little more time for our first session for us to get to know each other.:

First session - 1.5hrs duration - $160

Subsequent sessions - 1hr duration - $130

Payment is required on the day of the appointment.

If you need to cancel, please do so at least 24hrs before the appointment. Less than 24hrs notice will incur an $100 cancellation fee.

What are your qualifications and Experience?

I am a registered counsellor working in private practice, with experience supporting individuals across a wide range of mental health concerns. I completed my Diploma of Counselling in 2021 and my Bachelor of Counselling in 2025, and I also work part-time within a private mental health facility as part of an allied health team, supporting both acute and chronic mental health presentations.

I am deeply interested in the stories we carry and the meaning we make from our experiences. My approach is grounded in my training as a narrative therapist, and integrated with other evidence-based theories and practices. I work collaboratively and thoughtfully, tailoring each session to the individual and their unique context.

I am a trained Seasons for Growth companion, supporting people through grief and loss, separation and divorce, and significant life transitions. I have facilitated this program in school settings across a range of age groups. I have also written and successfully implemented a transition program, RAFT, based on the work of David C. Pollock, Ruth E. Van Recken, and Michael V. Pollock, supporting Third Culture Kids and highly mobile families.

My professional background includes experience as a Defence School Mentor working with Defence families, as well as time living within diplomatic communities. I bring over 30 years of pastoral care experience, working cross-culturally in the Pacific Islands, South East Asia, Papua New Guinea, and Peru. I speak fluent Spanish.

I am registered with the Australian Counselling Association.

Can I see you via video or phone call?

Yes! I am all set up for video calls although I really love to actually be in the same room as you, face to face. Clients I see are often moving around...it's fantastic to be able to stay connected even on the other side of the world!

Where are you located?

I'm in the Gungahlin region of North Canberra, ACT, AUSTRALIA

Where Did that lovely photo of the family come from?

The gorgeous photo on the home page is by Jessica Rockowitz on Unsplash. I love the way it conveys movement and togetherness, two things that embody my counselling practice. Thanks Jessica!
