Of course! Change is a part of everyone's life! Mild to moderate anxiety, depression, stress, grief and loss, lost sense of purpose and meaning in life are all areas I have experience in.
Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and see if we are a good fit. You can ask any questions you may have, and I'll ask some questions about what has brought you to counselling and get a feel for what direction we may be headed. If you decide to go ahead, we'll fill in some paperwork so we're ready to start!
I like to set aside a little more time for our first session for us to get to know each other.:
First session - 1.5hrs duration - $140
Subsequent sessions - 1hr duration - $100
Payment is required on the day of the appointment.
If you need to cancel, please do so at least 24hrs before the appointment. Less than 24hrs notice will incur an $80 cancellation fee.
I completed my Diploma in Counselling in 2021, and am registered as a Level 1 counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association. You can see my scope of practice HERE. I have experience working as as a Defence School Mentor with highly mobile Defence families, and have also lived in the diplomatic world. I have over 30 years of pastoral care experience working cross-culturally, in the Pacific Islands, South East Asia, PNG and Peru. I speak fluent Spanish.
I am a trained Seasons for Growth companion (program for grief and loss, separation/divorce, life change) and have run the program in a school setting across various age groups. I have also written and successfully implemented a transitions program RAFT, based on the work of David C. Pollock, Ruth E. Van Recken and Michael V. Pollock, Third Culture Kids.
Yes! I am all set up for video calls although I really love to actually be in the same room as you, face to face. Clients I see are often moving around...it's fantastic to be able to stay connected even on the other side of the world!
I'm in the Gungahlin region of North Canberra, ACT, AUSTRALIA
The gorgeous photo on the home page is by Jessica Rockowitz on Unsplash. I love the way it conveys movement and togetherness, two things that embody my counselling practice. Thanks Jessica!
